Frequently Asked Questions
Artwork and Materials
What materials do you use in your paintings?
I use high‑quality, professional artist materials including acrylic paints, mixed‑media textures, gels, and mediums. All pieces are created on stretched canvas or gallery‑quality surfaces to ensure durability and longevity.
Do your paintings come varnished?
Yes. Every original artwork is finished with a professional gloss varnish to protect the surface from dust, UV exposure, and environmental wear. This gives the piece a subtle, polished finish while preserving the colours and texture over time.
Do the paintings come framed?
Most artworks are sold unframed, giving you the freedom to choose a frame that suits your interior style.
Some smaller works may come framed or with the option to add framing upon request. If you’d like a custom frame, I can help guide the selection and arrange framing at an additional cost.
How do you sign your artwork?
All original pieces are signed by hand, usually on the back or side of the canvas in a minimal, unobtrusive way. A full signature and date are placed on the back. This keeps the artwork elegant and timeless while ensuring authenticity.
Do you provide a Certificate of Authenticity?
Yes — each original artwork includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity with the title, medium, and date of creation.
Are the paintings ready to hang?
Yes. All unframed canvases sides, are painted in black paint and covered with varnish, giving a finished look and can be hung without frame upon arrival.
Can I commission a custom painting?
Absolutely. I create bespoke commissions tailored to your colours, size preferences, and overall aesthetic. You will receive regular updates throughout the creation process to ensure the artwork feels personal and aligned with your vision.
How should I care for my artwork?
Acrylic paintings are durable, especially when varnished. To care for your piece:
-
Keep it out of direct sunlight.
-
Dust lightly with a soft, dry cloth.
-
Avoid moisture or chemical cleaners.
Thanks to the gloss varnish protection, your artwork will maintain its vibrancy and surface quality for years to come.
Are the colours on the website accurate?
I photograph all artworks in natural light to show accurate colour and texture. However, slight variations may occur due to individual screen settings.
